F1 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Power Rankings: Lando Norris Crowned Champion! (2026)

Power Rankings: Who Shone at the Abu Dhabi Finale?

The 2025 Formula 1 season concluded in style at the Yas Marina Circuit, with Lando Norris claiming his first World Championship title. Max Verstappen, despite falling short of the title, dominated with his eighth victory of the season. But who else stood out among the judges? Dive into the final Power Rankings scores and the overall leaderboard below.

How It Works

  • Our panel of five judges evaluates each driver post-Grand Prix, scoring them out of 10 based on their weekend performance, excluding vehicle factors.
  • These scores are averaged to create a race score, which is then compiled across the season for our Power Rankings Leaderboard.

The Top Performers

Max Verstappen (Red Bull): Despite ending his 1,457-day reign as World Champion, Verstappen's season finale was a triumph. He secured pole position and dominated with his eighth victory, finishing just two points behind Norris in the final standings.

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari): Leclerc's SF-25 showed promise, moving up to fourth at the start. He even briefly threatened a podium, showcasing his determination despite Ferrari's recent struggles.

Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin): Alonso's strong start included overtaking George Russell. While he couldn't hold off Russell, he maintained midfield leadership, securing a valuable sixth place and a seventh-place finish in the Teams' Championship.

Lando Norris (McLaren): Norris' championship win was tense. He needed a podium, and he delivered, fending off Leclerc's pressure to secure the top-three result and the 2025 title.

Oscar Piastri (McLaren): Piastri's second-place finish was a bright spot after a challenging second half of the season. He stormed past Norris on Lap 1, showcasing his determination.

Esteban Ocon (Haas): Ocon's first season with Haas ended on a high note. He consistently battled for points and held off Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari, finishing seventh.

Nico Hulkenberg (Kick Sauber): Despite a poor qualifying, Hulkenberg impressed with a ninth-place finish, scoring two points and leaving him satisfied.

George Russell (Mercedes): Russell's fifth-place finish was a struggle, starting behind Leclerc and Alonso. His Mercedes faced pace issues, but he managed a lone P5.

Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber): Bortoleto narrowly missed a double-points finish, initially in the top 10. He finished 11th in his rookie campaign, a solid effort.

Ollie Bearman (Haas): Bearman's five-second penalty for defensive maneuvers resulted in a 12th-place finish. Despite this, his performance was strong, continuing his recent form.

Missing the Mark

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes): Hamilton, a seven-time World Champion, narrowly missed the top half of the Power Rankings, finishing eighth after starting 16th.
