The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, has praised the Microfinance Support Centre's efforts in driving community transformation through the Emyooga program. The beneficiaries showcased their skills and products, highlighting the program's growing economic impact and focus on youth development. The Kyabazinga hailed the initiative as a key pillar in the fight against poverty, commending the government's investment of over 25 billion shillings to support 576 groups in 32 constituencies. The event showcased the diverse skills of carpenters, tailors, metal fabricators, and women's associations, who displayed furniture, garments, and crafts, demonstrating the program's positive influence on local entrepreneurship and household incomes. The Kyabazinga expressed gratitude for the government's transformative intervention and pledged closer collaboration with the Microfinance Support Centre to expand opportunities for the unemployed, especially teenagers. The Kingdom's Second Deputy Prime Minister, Alhaji Osman Noor, echoed the call for youth inclusion, emphasizing their crucial role in the region's future. The Microfinance Support Centre announced a new partnership with Busoga Kingdom to train over 300 out-of-school teenagers in trades like carpentry, plumbing, and welding, providing them with start-up capital through their respective Emyooga groups. This partnership aims to deepen economic empowerment and promote skills development, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion among vulnerable communities in Busoga.
